It's an ok story. Straight to the point no real embellishments. It's fine, just doesn't provide anything more than a surface story. Nothing that would make the story stay with me.

Dear Martin

A good treatment of the subject matter. However, not for those deeply offended. This book gets to the heart of the matter with no punches held. The meat of the matter is in your face hard and raw throughout the book.

This was an awesome book. Laurie Halse Anderson is a great writer. The way in which she took us through the process with Melinda was excellent. Totally worth the read.

A Raisin in the Sun

I read this to prepare for teaching it for the upcoming school year. I found the story heartwarming and sad all at the same time.
